According to Joshua's nutritionist Mark Ellison, leading up to fight night joshua was eating a shed load of food, so what did it consist of?
Here is a video of Joshua's nutritionist speaking about all the food he eats on a daily basis!
Surprisingly So there you have it, the unified heavyweight champion of the world eats pasta, oats, sauces and milk! Bet you've heard to cut them out a few times right? There is two sides to look at Joshua's food plan, yes he's a heavyweight so he can get away with eating these foods, but he's still lean right? So how does that work out!? It's because he need a lot of energy!!!! He wouldn't be able to train twice a day on slimming world portions. As he's using a lot of energy and calories they need to be refuelled so he can perform to the best of his ability. Secondly, it just shows that he still eats a lot of protein and fruit and veg, as well as a lot of carbs, oats, potatoes and more! Which emphasises their importance to your peormance and energy, it's not about completely cutting them out to look or perform like an athlete! Summary As a fantastic boxer, and tremendous athlete, 5000 calories a day would be needed to feed this beast, but not needed for us all. However, maybe it's good to think that even joshua eats normal foods and lots of it! And eating enough good foods at the right times as well as exercising regularly can make you look good and perform great too. |
